Many Horses Worked this Morning. The weather was threatening when training started at Addington this morning, but although it got much colder, no rain fell. The track was in good order, but very little fast work was done. Brentlight, Rare Pronto ami Park M’Kinney went away with about a length between them, whilst Real {Url was three lengths further back. The quartette worked two miles. At half the distance Real Girl made a forward movement and raced almost to the front, but she was then eased, and Brentlight just beat her at the finish, with Rare Pronto in front of Park M’Kinnev. Park M’Kinney trotted much steadier than usual, and Brentlight appears to have brightened up again since racing at AVellington. It was quite a useful workSomerby started a few lengths in front of Impromptu, who was followed by Royal Silk and Baron Bingen, and they went a useful mile and a quarter. Baron Bingon finished very determinedly, and so did Royal Silk. but Impromptu has paced more evenly. Going- Well. Country King, who is still on the big side, and Wilma Pillon covered two miles right-handed. Country King, who was on the rails, led his companion for a mile, when Wilma Pillon took charge, a U mne te was e !ased U fr ° nt for ahout half again resumed the lead. The pairVmished together, both pacers doing their work well. When a round had been covered Impromptu joined in behind them and went a little over half a mile with the pair and was then pulled up. He paced much better than in his workout over the mile and a quarter. Nor’-wester paced a mile in harness, but he was not asked to do his best at was t,ie time the distance Wilbur White, on the rails, and Nimble Direct were together all the wav of a work-out of a little further than a "low and a half ’ bUt the speecl was very Then Steel All and Aleron, who were led by Nimble Direct, whilst Wilbur White was just behind Aleron, started. Steel All and Aleron went about a mile, whilst the Australian pair went on for another quarter of a mile, hut were not at top in the final stages of the work-out. Nelson Ata led Peter Daunt, all the way in a mile and a quarter, the trotter being on his best behaviour. War Bird joined the pair over the last six j furlongs. Barrier Practice. Gold Country, aftfcr having some harrier practice with a number of others, was not hurried in a work-out of about a mile and a quarter. Stanley T. was also given barrier practice and then trotted a mile and a half well within himself. The imported trotter was troublesome at the barriter. and failed to go away, but once into his gait made no mistakes. Surprise Journey started ahout a couple of lengths in front of Wrecker, and led the young pacer throughout in a work-out of over a mile and a half. Surprise Journey trotted very well, and Wrecker’s work was quite satisfactory. Silver Bingen, who now looks in fine order, did a useful mile and a half alone, pacing freely throughout the journey. Benefice went away three or four lengths in front of Jewel Pointer, with Warplane a similar distance further hack. The trio worked a useful two miles. At the end of a mile and a half speed was turned on, and "Warplane finished fast in the straight, just heating Benefice, whilst .lewd Pointer, who did not seem to be driven too hard at the finish, was close up. It was a fine work-out on the part of nil the pacers. Golden Pedro led Free Advice all the way over nearly two miles. Both pacers were well out from the rails, and it was quite evident tlvey were not out on a record-breaking mission. Trotters' Effort. The trotters Nelson Boy. Norman Fox and the pacer Desert Maiden kept together in a work-out of a little further than a mile and a quarter. Both trotters wont throughout without any mistakes. Boneta, who looks to he improving, covered two miles by herself, and Bonora also did useful work. Neither trotter made any mistakes. Ukelele Lady had Princess Mauritius for a companion, the pair going a mile and a quarter. Princess Mauritius went fire-legged and paced evenly throughout, whilst Ukelele Lady, who was on the rails, trotted more evenly than usual. Roicole, who looks in good order, went a mile and a half at a good speed by himself, pacing very freely throughWee Parrish, who appears to have Improved considerably during the last month, covered a mile at a good useful working speted.
