LITTLE OVERTIME.

Work of City Council Departments.

Reports presented to the City Council last night stated that little overtime was worked. The position was investigated as the result of Councillor G. T. Thurston mentioning at last meeting of the council that he understood that there was a good deal of systematic overtime. Arising out of the subject of overtime, Councillor Beanland asked at question time for a return showing the number of council employees who were doing work outside their council duties. The Mayor promised to obtain the required information.
