TIMARU SOCIAL NOTES.
Mrs H. Thompson, Methven, is on a short visit to Timaru. Misses IJ. and W. Napier, Waimate, are on a visit to Hororata. Miss Nancy Henshaw, North Canterbury, has returned home after a visit to Mrs Gerald Massey, Glenmore. Miss Evelyn Pinckney, “ Glenaray,” will be the guest of Mrs F. J. Rolleston, LeCren’s Terrace. Miss F. Macdonald, Orari, who has been the guest of Miss Patricia Ronalds, Lyttelton, has returned home. Mrs R. Gillies, Waiau, arrived yesterday to be the guest of Mrs W. H. Hargreaves, Kakahu. Miss Mary Hogg, Christchurch, who is the guest of Mrs Tripp, Orari Gorge, will leave for the north to-morrow. Miss Jean M’Rae, Waikari, returned north on Sunday after a visit to Mrs E. J. LeCren, Maori Hill. Mrs Arnold Winter, Fairlie, has returned home after a visit to Mrs J. T. Prain, River Road, Southland. Mrs Howard Tripp, Wai-iti Road, will leave to-day to stay with Mrs Charles Tripp, “ Nithdale,” Southland. Mr and Mrs A. F. Nicoll, who have been staying at Beverley House, Waiiti Road, returned home on Sunday. Mrs Arthur NicholLs, Kureheka, who was the guest of her mother, Mrs W. H. Hargreaves, Kakahu, left yesterday for Christchurch. Mrs G. Murray and Miss Bejh Murray “ Braemar," returned to the Mackenzie Country on Sunday after a visit to Mrs F. I. Washbourn, “ Wickenford,” Grant’s Road. Miss Dorothy Walton, Park Lane, who has been staying with Madame Winnie Fraser, Christchurch, returned home on Sunday, accompanied by Miss Jean Fraser.
