Sale of Work at New Brighton.

A meeting of women interested «n the providing of clothing for the unemployed was convened by the Mayoress (Miss Irene Leaver) in the New Brighton Borough Council Chambers yesterday afternoon. The Mayoress explained that the object of the meeting was to provide clothing for the unemployed and to organise a sale of work to get funds for clothing material. The following officers were elected: Chairman, Miss Leaver; vice-chairman, Mrs T. Bennett; secretary and treasurer, Lieutenant J. B. Hunter, of the .Salvation Army.
