The nomination of Phar Lap has been received for the Arlington Handicap, the Arlington Gold Cup and the Stars and Stripes Handicap, to be run here in July.
The Australian horse is likely’ to meet such outstanding American distance runners as Twenty’ Grand, Mate, Sweep All, Equopoise and Pittsburgher. Twenty Grand and Mate dominated the three-year-old field in America last
season. The Chicago races for which I'har Lap has been nominated are each of the approximate value of 25,000 dollars.
