MAY HAVE BULK TANKS.

Motorists’ Petrol Co. Making Arrangements.

Plans for the construction of one or more bulk petrol tanks at Auckland, Wellington, Lyttelton and Dunedin are being considered by the directors of the Associated Motorists’ Petrol Company. It is proposed to build the tank or tanks on the reclaimed land at Lyttelton, and at sites close to berthages in the other centres. Plans have been prepared by the company’s engineer (Mr 11. G. Royds) and there only remains negotiatorv work to be done. It has not been decided -whether to erect two small tanks, or one large tank of an equal capacity. It may 109 that the two tanks will be put up, thus allowing repairs to be executed, when necessary, without loss of time and the necessity of emptving a large tank.
