Counting Proceeds in “ Literary Digest ” Poll. (Received March 5, 11.10 a.m.) NEW YORK, March 4. The “ Literary Digest,” in a straw vote on the Prohibition question, issued 20,000,000 ballots, asking if the recipients favoured continuance or repeal of the Eighteenth Amendment. A progress report on the canvass shows that 77 per cent of the votes thus far analysed favour repeal. Kansas is the only State so far reporting dry.
