Wool Sales. HOME AND CONTINENT BUYING. United Press Assn.—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright. (Received March 5, 11.10 a.m.) LONDON, March 4. At the wool sales 9586 bales were offered, including 3276 bales from Njew Zealand and about 4870 bales were sold. The market is firmer under increased Home and Continental, competition. Quotations: — Greasies—Maratau (top 8ld) average 6id. Slipes—Eclipse (top lid) average Old; Walter Peak (top 16d), average 15id.
SYDNEY SALES MONDAY.
(Received March 5, noon.) SYDNEY, March 5. The wool sales beginning on Monday will extend to April 14. There will be offered 315,000 bales. The season’s arrivals to date are: 1,126,219 bales, an increase of 161,068 bales on last year.
