TIMARU SOCIAL NOTES.
Miss Trott, Lake Tekapo, is spending a few days in Timaru. Miss Eva Cox, Nile Street, left yesterday to spend a few days in Christchurch.
Mrs John Holdgate and Miss Betty Holdgate, North Street, have returned from Auckland.
Mrs Gerald Murray, “ Glenmore,” returned home yesterday after a short visit to Miss L. Cartwright, Orbell Street..
Mrs R. Hunter Weston, Highthorne, who has been the guest of her father, Sir John Roberts, Dunedin, left yesterday for Lake Tekapo. Mrs Bruce Murray, Godley Peaks, who has been staying with her mother, Mrs H. Hay, “ Cadogan,” Sefton Street, returned home yesterday.
Professor and Mrs Copland, Melbourne, who have been paying a round of visits in South Canterbury, will leave on Saturday for Australia. Mrs W. H. Hargreaves and Miss Joan Hargreaves, Kakahu, who have been in Masterton for the HargreavesCameron wedding, have returned to Timaru.
Miss Jean M’Rae, North Canterbury, who has been the guest of Mrs Gerald Murray, “ Glenmore,” arrived on Wednesday to be the guest of Mrs E. J. LeCren, Maori Hill.
