CARS THAT HAVE HELD RECORDS, AND THEIR DRIVERS.— (1) Ray Keeeh, the American crack, speeding along Daytona in his 36-cylinder Triplex at 207.6 miles an hour. He broke the record of 206 miles an hour then held by Captain Malcolm Campbell. (2) Captain Malcolm Campbell exceeds 206 miles an hour and beats Major Segrave’s first record by more than three miles an hour. (3) The Golden Arrow, with Segrave at the wheel, increases the world record at Daytona to 231.36 miles an hour. (1) Captain Malcolm Campbell, with his Blu,e Bird, attempts to break Segrave’s record on Verneuk Pan, South Africa, but fails. (5) Sir Malcolm Campbell’s Blue Bird 11., holder of the present record of 245.7 miles an hour.
