STORM DAMAGED.

Mishap Occurs in Fog off Akaroa. Another sensation was caused at Lyttelton this morning, when it became known that the Storm, also owned by the Canterbury Steamship Company, while on the trip from Timaru to Lyttelton last night, in a dense fog, had struck a reef or obstacle south of Akaroa. The damage was sustained amidships. Shortly after her arrival at Lyttelton this morning, she was inspected by Lloyd’s surveyor, and a Harbour Board diver was sent down to investigate the extent of the damage. She will be docked, with the Calm, another of the company’s vessels, this afternoon. The Calm has been laid up for some time, and will take up the running of the Breeze to-morrow.
