CYCLE THEFT CHARGE.

Friend of Owner Recognised Machine. A charge of stealing a bicycle valued at £lO, the property of William Henry James, was preferred against Robert Frank Oldham, a labourer, aged twentytwo years, of Waltham Road, in the Magistrate’s Court this morning. Accused pleaded guilty, but as the SeniorSergeant stated that it was possible another man would be implicated accused was remanded until Friday for sentence. The Senior-Sergeant stated that the cycle w T as stolen from outside the Olympia Skating Rink. It had been seen by a friend of the owner on Saturday in the possession of another man. A constable was called and accused admitted stealing the bicycle. It was possible that another man who had assisted in disguising the bicycle would also be charged. For this reason he asked for a remand.
