LADIES’ GOLF AT SHIRLEY.
Presentation of Prizes by Lady Wigram. There was a large gathering of members at Shirley yesterday afternoon for the official closing day of the Christchurch Ladies’ Golf Club. At the close of play, the club captain, Miss J. B. Wilkin, gave a resume of the season’s competitions, after which the club’s president, Lady Wigram, presented the prizes. Lady Wigram congratulated the members on the successful season and urged the desirability of keeping up practice during the off season with the hope that the New Zealand Ladies' Championship might come to Shirley.
