PARTY AND REUNION.
Yesterday afternoon a delightful party was given at the Y.W.C.A. by Mrs W. Machin, president" of the association. The afternoon, as well as being a party for the children of old girls of the association, took the form of a reunion. There were over twentyfive ex-members present, who greatly appreciated Mrs Machin’s hospitality. The tiny tots spent a happy time playing games on the lawn.
Mrs Machin, who welcomed the girls smd it gave her great pleasure to meet them again and she complimented them on their happy and healthy children. She expressed the hope that they would often visit the Y.W.C.A. and would also continue to interest their friends in the work of the association.
One of the old girls thanked Mrs Machin for bringing them together to renew old acquaintances. It wPs the first occasion on which they had had a chance to meet, and they greatly appreciated Mrs Machin’s kind thought. The children had afternoon tea on the lawns and were delighted with the coloured paper caps given therq,.
