TIMARU SOCIAL NOTES.
Miss Molly Curtis (Christchurch) returned home yesterday. Mrs J. A. Sim and Miss Sheila M’Pherson (Dunedin) returned home yesterday. Mr and Mrs S. Solomon (Dunedin), and Mr and Mrs R. A. Solomon (Oamaru) left for the south yesterday. Mrs Arthur Hope and Mrs M. Ormsbv (“ Tumanako,” Wai-iti Road) have returned from a visit to Christchurch. Mrs Derrick Gould (Christchurch), who has been staying with her mother, Mrs A. S. Elworthy (Holme Station), has returned home 1 . Mr and Mrs C. G. Curtis (Christchurch) left for the north yesterday, after staying with Mr and Mrs J. W. Fair (Douglas Street) for the Solomon —Jones wedding. An enjoyable dance was held at the Broadway Cabaret on Wednesday night in honour of the marriage) of Miss Marjorie Jones and Mr David Solomon. Among those present were : —Mr and Mrs R. A. M’Keown, Misses Ethel LeCren, Nancy Hall, Betty Beadel (Christchurch), Molly Curtis (Christchurch), Margery Gibson, Peggy Unwin, Janet and Helen Paterson, Peggy Clowes (Christchurch), Marion Bain (Palmerston .North), Rene Gibson Mildred M’-Keown, Marie O’Callaghan, Denderah Rhodes, Mary Gabites, Mary Bridges, Mendail Smith (Christchurch), Margaret Halstead (Dunedin), Sheila M'Pherson (Dunedin), Gladys Manchester, Nonie Reid (Oamaru) and Marjorie Simpson.
