Remarkable Apathy by Ratepayers. Per Press Association. AUCKLAND, October 1. A poll of the ratepayers was held yesterday on a proposal to raise a £50,000 loan for drainage in the Tamaki district. Although 26,493 ratepavers were entitled to vote, only 741 did so. and the proposal was carried by three votes on the first count.
