SYDENHAM TALKIES.

There is magic enough in the words “ Monte Carlo ” alone to conjure up all manner of visions of gaily spent wealth, glittering arrays of brilliantly-dressed women and debonair millionaires. The talking picture, “ Monte Carlo,” which will be shown at the King’s Theatre Talkies, Sydenham, to-night; Monday and Tuesday, gives all those visions reality, and uses them for the background of a romantic and fascinating story. The production is a musical comedy, of which the outstanding features are the acting, and, above all, the singing of Jeanette MacDonald and Jack Buchanan. On Wednesday, Thursday and Friday next, “ Beau Ideal,” the sensational talking picture sequel to ” Beau Geste,” starring Ralph Forbes and Loretta Young, will be screened.
