ROUND THE DANCES.

The Christchurch Corsair Social Club will hold a grand carnival dance on Tuesday next. On Tuesday next a dance will be held in the Oddfellows’ Hall, Church Corner, Upper Riccarton. At the Ferry Road Hall the Rosemary Dance Assembly will hold a special ladies’ night on August 19. There will be a Staretta dance at Wilson’s Road, under the management of the Star of Opawa Lodge, to-night. The Gaiety Dance Club will hold a grand sports dance in aid of the Round the Gorges road race at Dixieland next Tuesday. To-night the Unitas Dance Club will hold a dance at Canon Street. Next Tuesday the Scottish Society Hall will be the scene of an old-time dance. At the Jellicoe Hal 9 next Thursday, the Sydenham Cricket Club will hold a carnival dance, Sid Shackel’s orchestra supplying the music. The North Linwood Tennis Club will hold its annual dance at Dixieland on Thursday next. Reg Wood’s orchestra will provide the music at a popular dance to be held at the Orange Hall to-night. The Police Social Club’s dance will be held in the Jellicoe Hall next Monday. At the Oddfellows’ Hall, 168, St Asaph Street, the Unity Dance Assembly will hold its usual dance next Wednesday. The Hornby Ladies’ Hockey Club will hold an end of the season dance in the Islington Hall next Thursday. A dance will be held at the Orange Hall next Wednesday. The Winter Sports Club will repeat its grand carnival dance at the Argonaut Hall next Saturday. A carnival dance w’ill be held at the Harewood Road Hall next Thursday. Bob Bradford and his orchestra will provide the music for the Autonia Dance Club’s usual dance at Dixieland to-night. A grand carnival dance will be held at the West Spreydon School to-night., An old-time dance will be held on Monday next Q.t the" Ferry Road Hall, when a full programme of old-time dances will be featured. A waltzing competition will be held, being judged by the public vote of dancers.
