THE FLOWER GARDEN. Clip Macrocarpa hedges. Clean, paint and rewrite labels. Resharpen and paint stakes. Dig over vacant beds. 1 Keep Sweet Peas tied to their supports. Prepare Rose beds. Plant Roses and ornamental shrubs. Commence Rose pruning. Collect and burn all prunings and dead leaves. Dig over Rose beds. Spray Roses with an oil spray. Weed Border Carnations. Firm soil around plants. Put in Chrysanthemum cuttings. Look over Dahlias in store. Plant Gladioli bulbils taken off the old bulbs.
