ARTHUR’S PASS WEATHER.
Ski Club’s Sports Start To-day. According to a report received by the Railway Department this morning, conditions at Arthur’s Pass were ideal for the Christchurch Ski Club’s sports to-day and to-morrow. The weather in the afternoon was j cold and clear. There were about six ! inches of frozen snow around the station yard. There was plenty of snow on the ski-ing grounds. People wishing to ski on their own to-morrow are advised to go further up the Pass where there is about two feet of snow. To-day about 120 people were up at the Pass, either as spectators or competitors in the sports. The Railway Department intends to run a third train, which will leave the Christchurch station at 8.25 a.m. to- ] morrow.
