NEW BABY CAR RECORDS.

United Press Assn.—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright. RUGBY, August 12. Driving a special car which he himself designed, Viscount Ridley, at Brooklands to-day covered the flying kilometre at a speed of 105.42 miles an hour, and the flying mile at 104.56 miles an hour, which, when confirmed by the Royal Automobile Club, will break the records for the baby car class established on Saturday.

Four new'speed records in the baby car class were set up by Leon Cushman, driving a super-charged Austin seven, at Brooklands. It was announced that the previous record holder, George Eyston, had decided to built a new M.G. Midget to attempt to recapture them.

The new records included the flying kilometre, which was accomplished at a speed of 102.28 miles an hour, and the flying mile at 100.67 miles an hour.
