Dispersal of Cash Held Up by Bank. NO REPLY TO LETTER. United Press Assn.—By Electrio Telegraph—Copyright. (Received August 14, 9.40 a.m.) MELBOURNE, August 14. No reply has been received from the Commonwealth Bank to a letter sent by Loan Council setting out the cash requirements of the various States and the Commonwealth for August. Consequently, the council is unable to make a dispersal. CONVERSION LOAN GROWS. Lower Rate of Interest Accepted by New Zealand Firm. (Received August 14, 11 a.m.) MELBOURNE, August 14. The conversion of £27,000,000 of loan money by the State Savings Bank of Victoria has helped to swell the total in the conversion loan to more than £200,000,000. The New Zealand Insurance Company has converted £434,300.
