REVALUATION OF LAND.

Protest Against Delay in Waimairi. At last night’s meeting of the Waimairi County Council, the chairman (Mr W. J. Walter), protested against any delay in the revaluation of the district. The Valuation Department had written to say that the values would be reviewed when officers were available. Mr Walter said that the reply was too vague. Cheviot, Akaroa and other counties had been revalued since the slump, and adjustments should be made to bring them down to the 1917 level.
