The Rye Eastern turf court tennis toui ac-y clamed to-day after rain on Tuesday. Mrs Pieman (England) entered the semi-finals, defeating Miss Dorothy Weisel (Sacramento), who is third on the ranking list of United States women players, 6-2, 4-6, 6-4. Miss Joan Ridley (England) Miss Josephine Cruickshank (Santa Ana), 4-6, 6-4, 6-2. Miss Betty Nuthall and Mrs. Helen Wills-Moody head the foreign and domestic seeded list for the women’s championships at Forest Hills. Miss Phyllis Mudford, Mrs Whittingstall, Mrs Shepherd Barron, Miss Ridley, Mrs Pitman and the Italian, Baroness Levi, follow Miss Nuthall.
