At the first call of the week a parcel of Government bonds, 4S per cent, changed hands at par, 7s 6d below the last local sale less than a week ago. After this transaction, the highest bid was £99 15s. A parcel of inscribed 4 5 per cent (1938) was offered at £99 12s 6d. In the banking section, Commercials recovered, with buyers at 13s 4d, and National of Australasia (contr.) were asljed for at £4 ss. A buyer came in for Standard Insurance at £2 2s 6d South British were again offered at £2 > 10s 9d. A parcel of Farmers’ Auctioneering shares was offered at £3 ss, and there were buyers for B preference issue at 12s. Sharland’s preference shares were asked for at 14s. OTHEE EXCHANGES.
