EXPERT HOPEFUL OVER FUTURE OF INDUSTRY.
“It is very pleasing to see that, although there was a very pessimistic feeling at the opening of the series, the demand has continued right through,” stated a well-known Canterbury wool expert to-day, in commenting on the better prices at the London wool sale. “ The buying at the close of the series was just as active as at the start,” he remarked. “ The reason for buyers’ keenness is that wool is cheap and more is going into consumption.” The next London sales will be held in September.
