Although three sales were completed at the first call of the week, the general tone was quiet. Chief interest was shown in fixed term securities, and there were also offers for a wide range of municipal aYid local body securities. Following a favourable week-end report. King Solomons had a sale at 3s, with more wanted. Gear Meats were offered (ex div.) at £1 9s. Holders of Brewery shares were asking £1 14s, but buyers dropped back to £1 3 2s. In Government stocks, there were buyers for 51 per cents (1936) at £99, and 2s fid higher for Inscribed.
