PUBLIC ARE TO BLAME FOR POOR AIR TRANSPORT

Per Press Association. WELLINGTON. March 31. An official list of commercial air pilots issued by the Director of Air Services (Wing-Commander Grant Dalton) contains twenty-two names, but does not include pilots of the Permanent Air. Force. Replying to criticism concerning lack of air transport facilities, Commander Dalton said the public had themselves to blame to a great extent for this. For the past three months a regular service had been running _ from Christchurch to Dunedin, but it was not being sufficiently patronised and unless better support was given might have to close down.
