RETAIL MARKETS REMAIN STEADY DURING THE WEEK
Rises In Wholesale Prices Leave Meat Values Unchanged.
There are few alterations in the retail markets this week, prices remaining steady. Stone fruits are becoming scarce and are consequently dearer, but most sorts of vegetables are plentiful and cheap. Meat prices’ remain unchanged. Meat. In spite of slight increases in the wholesale prices of beef and mutton during the past few weeks, retail prices have not moved, and remain at the same reasonable level.
