PLAZA THEATRE WILL OPEN WITH “ PLUNDER.”

The box plans for the opening of the Plasm. on Friday at tbq matinee open to-day. The Plaza is nttw getting the finishing touches put on, and when finished will be a credit to the city. The opening feature will be Ben Travers's famous farce, “ Plunder," and the fol? lowing is an extract from a London paper:— • ** The amazing difficulties into which Ralph Lynn and Tom Walls plunge themselves in 4 Plunder * affords very merry entertainment at the Hippodrome. With Mary Brough they provide a feast of good things. For reasons eminently satisfactory to themselves, the men decided to relieve the old lady of a quantity pf valuable jewels. In so doing, they push a pry*> irig individual, not a whit better than themselves, from a window ledge. He falls through a conservatory roof and is killed. The loss of the jewels brings the local police/ on the scene, the death of the man interests Scotland Yard, and the two men are suspected of both crimes. The witlessness of Ralph Lynn and the artfulness of Tom Walls keep ihe police guessing, and when they Imagine they have a clue Mary Brough is impelled to come to their rescue. It is all .very good fun, diametrically opposed to right conduct, but. farces are n6t designed to point a moral. * Plunder.’ is a British film, and is directed \ by Tom Walls.
