NAVAL MEN REFUSED DUTY AT PLYMOUTH.
SEAMEN ARE ARRESTED AND COURT-MARTIALLED
(United Press Assr..—By Electric Teleg-rapti—Copyright * RUGBY, January 5. The Admiralty has issued a com-. munique stating that on Sunday morning, January 4, an infraction of idscipline occurred aboard the submarine depot ship Lucia at Plymouth. Yesterday, the authorities admitted that there was “ something wrong ” on the vessel. It is now explained by the Admiralty that a delay, owing to weather conditions, necessitated the loss of week-end leave prior to the departure of the Lucia to join the Atlantic Fleet, and also necessitated the crew working on Sunday morning. The communique states that thirty seamen so far forgot their duty as to remain below and shut themselves in when ordered to parade on deck for duty on Sunday morning. They were arrested and taken in custody to the naval barracks. A court of inquiry sat to-day and will continue to sit to-morrow. Further action will depend on the result of its investigations, which have yet to be considered* —————
