Onepunga Falls.

To the Editor. Dear Sir, —On account of an article in the motoring columns of the “ Star ” on December 20 last, some ten or twelve carloads ventured out on New Year’s Day to locate the above falls, and parked their cars on an open strip of road close to the woolshed of a gentleman farmer (one of those persons the townies are so earnestly asked to support). Everything went splendidly until late in the afternoon, when home came Mr Farmer, who ordered everyone off the above-mentioned strip of road, giving a quarter of an hour as the time he would allow for the clear-out. In future it would be as well if your correspondent made sure when advising people, through your paper, that the locality he suggests is one where motorists will be made welcome.—l am, etc., W.J.
