PRACTICAL HELP FOR THE FARMERS.

SPECIAL COMMITTEE TO CONSIDER POSITION. (Special to the Star.") WELLINGTON, January 6. Though the Government will not adopt the expedient of a moratorium to help dairy farmers out of their difficulties, the suggestions of a recent deputation from the industry will bear fruit this week, as Ministers have actively in hand preparations for the appointment of a special committee to consider the economic position of the industry, wth a view to assisting farmers in regard to credit. The personnel is likely to include those who can make practical recommendations along these lines and it will be announced within a few days.
