TWO ACCIDENT VICTIMS STILL SERIOUSLY ILL.
The condition of Robert Stafford, a young man, living at 41, Clare Road, St Albans, is reported by the hospital authorities to have improved slightly, although he is still on the serious list. Stafford was riding a motorcycle at the intersection of Woodham Road and Patten Street on Sunday morning, when he crashed into a motorcar, his head going through one of the side windows. Robert James Jay, a young man, living at 72, Paparoa Street, Papanui, who was found lying on the road near the St Albans Police Station at five o’clock on Thursday morning, is reported to be still unconscious and on the seriously ill list. Miss Eileen Harris, of 77, Iloon Hay Road, Spreydon, who was admitted to the hospital after a motor-car had hit a motor-cycle on which she was sitting in Page’s Road early on Thursday morning, has improved, and her condition is not serious.
