S.M. SENDS WOMAN BACK TO GAOL FOR LONG TERM Alargaret Cecilia Hansbury, a domestic, aged 38 years, was discharged from gaol on Monday last and now she goes back for another twelve months. This was the sentence imposed to-day by Air E. D. Alosley, S.M., when the woman appeared on a charge of being an incorrigible rogue. She was charged with a breach of a prohibition order and drunkenness in Fitzgerald Avenue. The accused pleaded guilty to all three charges. Sergeant Leckie said that he had known the woman for eighteen months. On Alonday of. last week, she was discharged from gaol and nightly since then had made a pest of herself in Aladras Street and Aloorhouse Avenue. On Saturday night she was seen with two men, all of* them in a drunken condition, in Fitzgerald Avenue. One of the men was a notorious criminal. She created a scene in the street when arrested. Air Bowie, who appeared for the accused, said that when she came out .of .prison she met friends and succumbed to temptation. She had a chance to go to’work and would be able to leave town. “Have you seen .the list? asked the Magistrate. Counsel: Yes, I know she has a very long list. “I would be very sorry for anyone employing her as a domestic,” said the Alagistrate. “Twelve months’ hard labour.” _______________
