ENGAGEMENTS.
The engagement is announced of Squadron-Leader Charles Roderick Carr, of New Zealand, and Aliss Phylis Elkington, of Amersham, England. Squadron-Leader Carr crashed in the Persian Gulf in 1927, w'hile flying to India. Christchurch tennis enthusiasts will be interested to learn of the engagement of Dorothy, eldest daughter of Air and Airs A. G. Blakey, Great South Road, Remuera, to Norman George, youngest son of Airs AI. K. Sturt, of Ridings Road, Remuera, and the late Air S. G. Sturt, of Suva, F'iji. The engagement is announqed of Colleen, only daughter of Air and Airs A. Costelloe, Latimer Square, to Richard, youngest son of Air and Airs W. J. Hampton, Stunner.
