ABANDONED BABY ON AN ASH HEAP.
INFANT IS NOW DOING IN HOSPITAL. Per Press Association BLENHEIM, December 2. Yesterday, two ladies who were working in a Picton garden, had their attention drawn to a box thrown on an ash heap. Investigation revealed a newly born female child, crying lustily. The infant was taken to the hospital and is there doing well. The police are endeavouring to trace the mother.
