MADRAS SWEPT BY CYCLONE.

Madras suffered severely from one of the fiercest cyclones it hak experienced in the past sixty years. The storm, which swept the city, caused immense havoc. An oil tanker was driven aground, three Europeans were drowned, many huts were destroyed, city offices collapsed, the electric light supply was paralysed, and all telegraph lines came down.
