PARACHUTIST IS HURT IN DESCENT.

TRIED TO LAND CLEAR OF ROTORUA CROWD. Per Press Association ROTORUA, November 29. A parachute descent arranged by the Rotorua Aero Club ended unfortunately, Captain Noah Jonnasson receiving injuries to one of his legs, the extent of which will not be known till the limb has been X-rayed. The sky was cloudless, with a high wind blowing, when Flying-Officer Money, in the monoplane Arawa, took the air. After climbing over 3000 feet, the parachutist jumped, apparently descending under perfect control. The aerodrome was crowded with cars and spectators. It is surmised that the parachutist was attempting to guide his parachute from the crowd, and he landed in adjacent scrub with considerable force He was taken to the King George Hospital for treatment, suffering considerably from injuries and shock.
