MISFORTUNE COMES TO PRIZE-WINNERS.

(United Press Assn.—By Electrlo Telegraph—Copy right.) LONDON. November 29. 111-luck quickly followed the good fortune of Mr Prescott, winner of the first prize in the Irish sweepstake. He was unable to attend at Dublin to receive the cheque, as he was attending his father’s funeral in London, his father having died suddenly during the week. Mr Dawe, of Vancouver, has not sent word how the second prize should be paid to him. Remittance to Canada presents legal difficulties, and it is not known whether Mr Dawe intends to come to Ireland to collect his money. Mrs Worksop, the widow who won £20,000, has also had a bereavement, as her brother died on Thursday as a result of a motor accident.
