STRIKERS ATTACK MASTER BUTCHERS.
POLICE USE PISTOLS, AND MEN RETREAT.
(United Press Assn.—By Electric Telegraph.—Copyright.) (Received December 1, 11 ajn.) SYDNEY, December 1. An attempt to wreck the barracks occupied by the master butchers at Aberdeen, who are killing stock for the Sydney trade, was made by about thirty men. They maintained a fusilade of missile-throwing until they were scattered by the police, who fired over the heads of the attackers. Large quantities of blue metal were hurled through the doorways and windows of the barracks, where there were fifty-four butchers. A wild scatter took place when the police, who also were living on the premises, brought their revolvers into play. Additional police have been rushed to Aberdeen, where all is now quiet.
