STUDENTS HOLD VOCAL RECITAL.

There was a good attendance at the Art Gallery on Saturday, when the pupils of Mrs J. W. Palk gave a vocal recital. Mrs Palk wore a frock of lace and georgette in a bisque shade. The bodice was made with a shoulder cape of lace and the long circular georgette skirt was inset with lace. Miss Aileen Warren, accompanist, -wore a black georgette frock with panel of gold lace inset in the bodice, the long skirt also having gold lace panels. Mrs Kenneth Andrews wore a frock of hyacinth blue satin, with the circular skirt falling in points at the sides and back from a narrow hip yoke. Miss Ann Lucas wore a powder pink georgette frock with cape collar and long skirt with flared flounces falling in an uneven hemline. Mrs Chas. Ay-ling's deep rose frock had a bodice of rose and silver tinsel, the long georgette skirt being composed of frills and trimmed with a bow at the back. Miss Agatha Clarke was in Princess Mary blue floral taffeta patterned in rose, with a net hem and a yoke of net inset in the bodice. Miss P. Hoggan wore a frock of ciel blue taffeta with a parchment lace skirt \Hth a taffeta hem and a draped panel at the hip. Mrs Cyril Goode’s frock was of gold fisher net mounted over amber satin with a narrow velvet belt fastened by a brilliant buckle. Airs S. Millard wore black lace mounted over satin, relieved with a rose shoulder posy and a narrow belt of cerise velvet. Miss Olive Jenkins wore a frock of turquoise georgette with bodice beaded in silver and skirt deeply flounced. Miss Olive Robson’s frock was of delphinium blue ninon patterned in a deeper blue and amber, the bodice being inset with plain blue ninon which also finished the hem of the skirt. Miss Phyllis Round wore a flame satin frock, the long full skirt trimmed with black forget-me-nots and a large satin bow at the back. Miss Ellis Fraser’s frock was of lemon floral taffeta with a net shoulder cape and a long net skirt deeply banded -with floral taffeta.
