YOUTH AT PREBBLETON STOLE SHOW PANSIES.
When Frank Hancock, aged eighteen, stole some pansies from the garden of Henry Alfred Wheeler, at Prebbleton, he ruined an exhibit that was intended for show purposes. Hancock appeared before Mr E. D. Mosley, S.M., this morning, and was fined 10s and was ordered to pay damages, 2s. Senior-Sergeant O’Grady said that the accused and another boy took the pansies on a Sunday afternoon. While the theft was committed a boy kept a lookout on the road. Hancock said that he did not have anything to say as an excuse.
