AUSTRALIA UNLIKELY TO MAKE PACT WITH FRANCE
PARIS, November 19. The prospect of a treaty between Australia and France is very doubtful. It is understood that the Federal Minister of Markets, Mr P. Moloney, considers that Australia at present might buy too dearly the removal of the special duties against her wheat and canned fruits by giving special treatment to wines, perfumes, silks and various luxury articles, which were on the list submitted by France.
