Berriman, at Glenferrie, in 1923, Richard Buckley has been sentenced to death. The jury retired for a few minutes only before returning their verdict. Buckley took the verdict quietly. At least two men with whom he was associated have been hanged. He had served sentences aggregating more than twenty years.
