Last evening at the Y.M.C.A. a wellattended meeting of the Rechabite Provincial Council was held. The installation of officers was carried out by Brother A. Martin, D.C.R., assisted by D.D.C.R. Brother C. H. Bascand. A hearty vote of thanks was accorded to the retiring officers. A motion of condolence with P.P.C.R. Brother E. A. M. Leaver in the death of his wife was adopted. The names of Brothers A. Rees and H. Painter as nominees for the Ashburton Tent were accepted. Brother A. Martin gave an interesting account of his recent visit to tents in the North Island. Sister Bunt presented a report of the judges in connection with the initiation competition between the Philipson and Ark of Refuge Tents, to be conducted at the Pride of Christchurch Tent on Monday evening, to which all members of the Order are invited. Consideration was given to remits to be discussed at the District i Coufecil session in March. CANTERBURY’S FINEST RESORT.
