POLICE IN DUBLIN ARE VERY ACTIVE. (United rress Assn. —By Electric Telegraph—Copyright.) LONDON, November 24. A mysterious affair has occurred in Dublin. A number of shots were fired outside the house of Professor Michael Hayes, Speaker of the Dail’. A guard who returned the fire was wounded and taken to hospital. There has been much police activity in Dublin, including the holding-up of tram-cars and motor-cars. Many rumours are floating about the city, one of them being that the Speaker himself was attacked and wounded.
