DROPS FROM CUPOLA TO INTERIOR OF CHURCH. LONDON, October 2. The Florence correspondent of the “Manchester Guardian” says Ezio Badini, a young municipal employee, while visiting the cupola of the Church of Santa Maria Del Fiore, fell into the interior of the church, a drop of 230 ft, narrowly missing the priest, who was celebrating Mass at the High Altar. Badini was killed. The priest gave absolution in Articulo Mortis. The church has been closed and will have to he, reconsecrated.
