Per Press Association. "WELLINGTON, October 10. After being told not to go near his car or attempt to drive it, _ Gilbert Frank Tabernacle, a mechanic, aged 39, ignored the warning and attempted to drive it off the Lyttelton ferry wharf. He was to-day fined £2O for being intoxicated in charge of a motor-car. It appeared that he drove alongside the steamer where people were farewelling friends at the gangway barrier. Motor-cars are not allowed inside the shelter at ferry wharf.
