GARDEN PARTY AT RAKAIA.
The Rokeby branch of the Rakaia Girls’ Auxiliary held a successful garden party on Wednesday afternoon at the residence of Mr W. J. Crozier. Although the sky was overcast the weather kept fine for the afternoon, and there was a good attendance. The following were the stall-holders: Work stall, Misses J. M’Phail, K. M’Phail, and V. M’Phail: sweets stall, Misses Jessie M’Phail and Amy Storey; dips, Misses- M. Magson and R. M’Phail; ice-cream, Messrs J. Croziei and D. M’Phail; afternoon tea room, Misses A. Magson, F. Crozier and D. Magson. As a result of the afternoon’s effort the Girls’ Auxiliary will benefit to the extent of £2O. The Rev A. S. Morrison thanked Mr and Mrs Crozier lor their kindness in placing their beautiful house and grounds at the girls’ disposal, also the'girls for the fine display of goods on the various stalls.
